LTG (Ret.) Michael D. Maples

LTG Maples served as Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and commanded the Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance for the US Strategic Command from 2005 to 2009.

During his distinguished Army career, LTG Maples served in numerous command and staff positions, including Director of Management of the Joint Staff, Director of Operations, Readiness and Mobilization for the Department of the Army, and Commanding General of the US Army Field Artillery Center.

LTG Maples holds a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MS from Pacific Lutheran University, and degrees from the Command and General Staff College and the National War College.

COL (Ret.) Bernard J. McCabe, Jr.

COL McCabe currently serves as the Vice President of Operations for Universal Safety and Security Systems, a provider of security solutions for personnel and facility protection. He previously served as the Global Security Manager for Marathon Oil Corporation, a global oil and natural gas exploration and production company, and as a member of the board of directors for two energy industry associations.

COL McCabe served for over 30 years in the Army, most recently as the commander of 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta.

COL McCabe holds a BS from Cameron University and an MS from Harvard University at the Naval War College.

The Honorable James C. Marshall

Congressman Marshall served from 2012 to 2014 as the President and CEO of the United States Institute of Peace. He currently serves on the National Defense Panel and the Board of Directors of the National Futures Association. As a member of the House of Representatives from Georgia from 2003 to 2011, Congressman Marshall served on the Armed Services, Agriculture, and Financial Services Committees.

Congressman Marshall is also a combat veteran. Following the 1968 Tet Offensive, he withdrew from Princeton to enlist in the Army. He served in a Ranger reconnaissance platoon in Vietnam and was later inducted into the Army Ranger Hall of Fame.

Congressman Marshall holds an AB from Princeton and a JD from Boston University.
